The Trident Trust Group (together "Trident", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal data.
We use the ID-Pal Application (“App”) in order to carry out document, address and identity verification on individuals as part of the services we provide to our clients. The App allows us to receive and store any requested documentation that you choose to submit through the App and to review and store this documentation as required by law and/or best practice.
We need to ask you for certain information about yourself in order to carry out money laundering, sanctions, financial crime, fraud prevention and related identity and address verification checks (“Checks”) that are required by law as part of the services we offer.
To validate your identity and address in the App, the information we may ask you for can include:
- Personal information submitted online and obtained from identification documentation, including your name, country of birth, date of birth, gender, contact details, nationality and national identify numbers (where applicable); and
- Your physical and residential address information submitted online and obtained from supporting documentation and validated through the App.
When you submit this information through the App, we will use it to conduct the Checks. Our third-party service provider who runs the App may also have access to this information. The Checks performed by the App include technical eIDV and eVerification checks, including running facial comparison, liveness checks, and other data and document checks to interrogate the documents provided for forgery and tampering.
Our App service provider is based in Ireland and we ensure that your personal data is safeguarded when it is transferred to them and is in their hands - by putting in place contracts that include appropriate obligations and security requirements and by carrying out checks on them. We require them to take care of, and follow our instructions regarding, your personal data and not to retain it for longer than needed to carry out the Checks or as required by law.
You are not obliged to provide us with your personal data where it is requested but we may be unable to provide certain products and services if you do not do so.
For more information on how your information is handled when it is submitted through, or acquired in relation to, the Platform, please see our Global Privacy Notice.
