Expanded Asia Fund Services Capabilities

We have significantly expanded our fund services capabilities in Asia with additions to our team in both Hong Kong and Singapore. The expansion of our team is the first in a number of developments we are implementing this year to enhance the service we are able to provide to clients in both China/North Asia and South-East Asia.

Tony Kan has joined us to lead the development of our fund services business in China and North Asia. An industry veteran of more than twenty years, Tony is one of the most highly regarded and successful professionals in the Asian alternative investment fund industry. He has a proven track-record of building successful, long-term client relationships. Prior to joining the Trident Trust Group, Tony worked for a number of global institutional fund administrators.

Our existing team in Singapore, led by experienced fund services professional Jonathan Chan, has been complemented by the arrival of an additional team of qualified administrators, recruited under the leadership of Tony Carr. Tony has worked in the fund administration industry for more than 15 years in Europe and Asia and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. In addition, we have formed a new fund services client liaison and onboarding function in Hong Kong, specifically dedicated to serving managers in Hong Kong and mainland China. The team will work together with the fund administration team in Singapore to provide a seamless service to clients in North Asia.

We see rising demand for fund administration services from clients across Asia, with the appointment of independent administrators becoming a necessity as the market matures. In particular, there is enormous potential for growth in the provision of services to China-based fund managers. It’s critical for us that we have the right people in place to serve our clients. The investments in people we have made in Hong Kong and Singapore bring considerable experience and talent to reinforce our existing capabilities.
