  • Director – Client Services - Mauritius

    The Director – Client Services is responsible for leading the Corporate Administration Department, currently comprising 16 staff. The Director is responsible for the delivery of exceptional client service, and growing the business through developing strong relationships with clients and professional intermediaries. The Director – Client Services will report directly to the Board of Directors.

    Duties

    • Take responsibility for achieving a high standard of client service ensuring that client expectations are met
    • Assist administrators with client matters of a more technical nature where necessary and act as mentor for new joiners, especially in relation to internal policies, systems and procedures
    • Ensure accurate and detailed records are maintained for all client structures
    • Ensure timely response to client requests and that correct procedures and controls are followed
    • Monitor and manage the team to achieve budgeted utilisation targets, control day-to-day time costs and expenses
    • Work with colleagues in the Group on new business opportunities and on-boarding new clients, providing technical and jurisdictional knowledge
    • Work with Senior Management to develop appropriate processes and procedures

     Qualifications and Skills

    • Relevant degree in Law, Management or Financial-related subject/ICSA Qualified
    • At least 10 years of experience in the corporate services industry
    • Proven team management, team participation and leadership skills
    • Well-developed communication skills, business analysis skills and technical abilities necessary to meet business needs and achieve the highest professional standards
    • Well-versed in Microsoft Office tools
    • Solid organisational and resource management skills

  • Director – Fund Services - Mauritius

    The Director – Fund Services is responsible for leading the Fund Administration Department, currently comprising 20 staff. The Director is responsible for the delivery of exceptional client service, and growing the business through developing strong relationships with fund clients and professional intermediaries. The Director – Fund Services will report directly to the Board of Directors.

    Duties

    • Manage client portfolio and lead relationship development
    • Oversee generation and review of NAV statements, interim/ Yearly Financial Statements and all important filings
    • Final review of work output, including valuations, as well as other ad-hoc work, e.g., fee analysis, attribution reporting
    • Continue to increase process efficiency with system and control advancement projects
    • Assisting team members with client matters of a more technical nature where necessary
    • Ensure all required external reporting is completed
    • Monitor and manage the team to achieve budgeted utilisation targets, control day-to-day time costs and expenses
    • Liaise with finance professionals, lawyers, and other third parties regarding client structures
    • Work with colleagues in the Group on new business opportunities and on-boarding new clients, providing technical and jurisdictional knowledge

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Relevant degree in Finance, Law, Management or Financial-related subject or ACCA Member or equivalent
    • At least 10 years of experience in the fund services industry
    • Good knowledge of fund structures, implementation of fund workflow and valuation preparation
    • Good communication/presentation skills, both verbal and written
    • Experience of working in a team and harnessing the team’s potential
    • Attention to detail and self-organised

  • Senior Administrator – Client Services - Guernsey

    The position of Senior Administrator forms part of the Client Services Department comprising of approximately 11 staff, which is an integral part of the 60-strong Guernsey office.  The Senior Administrator will report directly to the appropriate Manager of Client Services.

     

    Duties

    Overall responsibility for the day-to-day administration of a defined portfolio of more complex clients, comprising of a mixture of trusts and companies. Managing all aspects of the designated portfolio by dealing with all statutory, banking, correspondence, legal and fiduciary obligations that arise for each client.  Typical tasks will include:

    • Liaison by telephone and in writing as the primary point of contact with clients, advisors, banks, brokers and other intermediaries.
    • Assisting the Senior Management and Client Services Manager with Client meetings whether that is at Trident’s offices in Guernsey or as part of an organised trip outside the island.
    • Overseeing banking and investment transactions, acting as an authorised signatory for the approval of those transactions.
    • Reconciliation of bank and brokers’ statements against bookkeeping records.
    • Monitoring and review of investment portfolios against appropriate benchmarks.
    • Monitoring cash requirements, arranging payments as requested and ensuring all regular commitments such as standing orders etc. are made on a timely basis.
    • Assisting other members of the team with all aspects of day-to-day administration of a defined portfolio of trusts and companies where required.
    • Providing support and assisting the team with the more complex and technical aspects of administration.
    • Identifying potential problems, highlighting issues to Client Services Manager and recommending ways to address those issues.
    • Identifying products and potential opportunities that will enhance the service to clients.

    Skills Required

    • Sound bookkeeping knowledge and ability to review and interpret financial statements.
    • An experienced view as to the application of AML principles.
    • A good knowledge and understanding of Trust and Company Law.
    • Excellent self-organisation and ability to operate disciplined 4-eyes procedures.
    • Common sense and good use of initiative.
    • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Keen attention to detail.
    • Conscientious positive outlook and motivational attitude towards other staff.
    • IT skills – Word, Excel, Outlook.

    Qualifications

    The holder of the post will ideally already hold, or be working towards a relevant professional qualification such as STEP or ICSA.  Trident encourages employees to enhance their technical knowledge and experience by operating a Financial Assistance Policy that promotes further study.
