  • Senior Administrator – Client Services - Guernsey

    The position of Senior Administrator forms part of the Client Services Department comprising of approximately 11 staff, which is an integral part of the 60-strong Guernsey office.  The Senior Administrator will report directly to the appropriate Manager of Client Services.

     

    Duties

    Overall responsibility for the day-to-day administration of a defined portfolio of more complex clients, comprising of a mixture of trusts and companies. Managing all aspects of the designated portfolio by dealing with all statutory, banking, correspondence, legal and fiduciary obligations that arise for each client.  Typical tasks will include:

    • Liaison by telephone and in writing as the primary point of contact with clients, advisors, banks, brokers and other intermediaries.
    • Assisting the Senior Management and Client Services Manager with Client meetings whether that is at Trident’s offices in Guernsey or as part of an organised trip outside the island.
    • Overseeing banking and investment transactions, acting as an authorised signatory for the approval of those transactions.
    • Reconciliation of bank and brokers’ statements against bookkeeping records.
    • Monitoring and review of investment portfolios against appropriate benchmarks.
    • Monitoring cash requirements, arranging payments as requested and ensuring all regular commitments such as standing orders etc. are made on a timely basis.
    • Assisting other members of the team with all aspects of day-to-day administration of a defined portfolio of trusts and companies where required.
    • Providing support and assisting the team with the more complex and technical aspects of administration.
    • Identifying potential problems, highlighting issues to Client Services Manager and recommending ways to address those issues.
    • Identifying products and potential opportunities that will enhance the service to clients.

    Skills Required

    • Sound bookkeeping knowledge and ability to review and interpret financial statements.
    • An experienced view as to the application of AML principles.
    • A good knowledge and understanding of Trust and Company Law.
    • Excellent self-organisation and ability to operate disciplined 4-eyes procedures.
    • Common sense and good use of initiative.
    • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Keen attention to detail.
    • Conscientious positive outlook and motivational attitude towards other staff.
    • IT skills – Word, Excel, Outlook.

    Qualifications/Training

  • Fund Administrator - Guernsey

    Our thriving Guernsey office is currently recruiting for a Fund Administrator in the Fund Services Department. The Fund Administrator will report directly to the Manager of Fund Services.

     

    Duties

    • Taking senior responsibility for the day-to-day administration of a fund portfolio comprising of a mixture of Funds of Funds, Property, Hedge, Equity and Bond Funds.
    • Checking and preparation of monthly or quarterly NAVs.
    • Liaison by telephone and correspondence with clients, custodians, brokers and other intermediaries regarding the day-to-day running of various fund portfolios.
    • Execution of banking transactions by completion of relevant documentation or input to online banking systems.
    • Arranging payments as required and ensuring all regular commitments are made on a timely basis.
    • Preparation of annual and semi-annual fund financial statements where necessary.
    • Assisting other team members by specifically providing input/training with more complex pricing and accounting issues.
    • Supporting management in the continued introduction of software/systems and the development of effective procedures.

    Qualifications

    • The candidate will be a part qualified or qualified Accountant.
    • No specific investment qualifications are necessary.
    • The candidate will need to possess a valid ‘Right to Work’ document for the States of Guernsey.

    Skills

    • Good knowledge of fund structures, valuation preparation, share dealing and registration.
    • Good knowledge of investments in general.
    • Technical competency with understanding of more complex instruments and pricing bases.
    • Good communication/presentation skills, both verbal and written.
    • Generally IT proficient and with a general aptitude for identifying where procedures can be made more efficient by better use of technology.

  • Fund Accountant - Dubai

    The position of Fund Accountant is a full time permanent role and forms part of the Accounting Department, which is an integral part of the Dubai branch.

     

    Duties

    • Taking senior responsibility for the day-to-day administration of a fund portfolio comprising mainly of Private Equity and Property Funds.
    • Checking and preparation of monthly or quarterly NAVs.
    • Liaison by telephone and correspondence with clients, custodians, brokers and other intermediaries regarding the day-to-day running of various fund portfolios.
    • Arranging payments as required and ensuring all regular commitments are made on a timely basis.
    • Preparation of annual and semi-annual fund financial statements where necessary.
    • Assisting other team members by specifically providing input/training with more complex pricing and accounting issues.
    • Supporting management in the continued introduction of software/systems and the development of effective procedures.
    • Attending to corporate secretarial matters for mainly Cayman Island based closed ended fund entities established as exempt companies.

    Qualifications

    • The candidate will be a qualified Accountant.
    • No specific investment qualifications are necessary.
    • Extensive experience to the administration of Cayman Island funds.

    Skills

    • Good knowledge of fund structures, implementation of fund workflow and valuation preparation.
    • Good knowledge of investments in general.
    • Technical competency with understanding of more complex instruments and pricing bases.
    • Good communication/presentation skills, both verbal and written.

  • Accounts Executive - Malta

    We are currently looking to employ a full-time Accounts Executive to join our Malta office team of professionals.

     

    Duties

    • Provide client bookkeeping and accounting services to an allocated client portfolio.
    • Client communication on a daily basis and handling various requests in a timely manner.
    • Liaising with the clients’ auditors and the production of financial statements for companies and trusts.
    • Preparation and filing of both periodic VAT returns and company income tax returns.
    • Recording all time spent on client matters.
    • Ensuring that internal controls are adhered to and if necessary improved upon.
    • Assist other staff in the team where appropriate.

     Qualifications and Skills

    • At least two years relevant work experience within the financial services industry.
    • Partly qualified in ACCA or equivalent.
    • Experience in a similar role will be considered an asset.
    • Experience in producing IFRS & GAAP financial statements will be beneficial.
    • Knowledge of use of ViewPoint will be considered an asset.
    • Able to work on his/her own initiative and in a team whilst also having the ability to adhere to deadlines.
    • Should have a good command of English and excellent communication skills.

  • Fiduciary & Corporate Services Senior Executive - Malta

    We are currently looking to employ a full-time Fiduciary & Corporate Services Senior Executive to join our Malta office team of professionals.

     

    Duties

    • Assisting with the take-on of new clients including administrative support in respect of due diligence conducted as part of client take-on procedures.
    • Being clients’ main contact for matters arising on a day-to-day basis.
    • Preparation of minutes for various matters throughout the lifecycle of client entities.
    • Project management of the statutory filings of our client base including liaison with officials from the MFSA, and other governmental departments as necessary.
    • Processing of the settlement of operating expenses.

     Qualifications and Skills

    • Holder of either the MCAST Diploma in Banking and Financial Services or a University Degree in a related subject.
    • A thorough understanding of company secretaryship including statutory record keeping, and the compliance obligations impacting upon the administration area, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
    • Organisational and project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills, a ‘can-do’ attitude, and the ability to establish positive relationships with clients and work colleagues.
    • Proficiency in the use of IT.
    • Good communication skills, both written and spoken.

    Duties

    • Processing of security and cash transactions for portfolios.
    • Reconciliation of cash, positions and market value.
    • Preparation of Net Asset Value calculations.
    • Processing of subscriptions and redemptions activity for various funds.
    • Liaison with custodians, brokers and other intermediaries of various fund portfolios.
    • Respond to client enquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Periodic client, investor and regulatory reporting.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Early stages of ACCA or degree in Financial Services.
    • Good accounting background and knowledge of investments.
    • 1-2 years relevant work experience (ideally in a fund environment).
    • Attention to detail, highly organized and the ability to work on his/her own initiative and within a team.
    • Ability to meet strict deadlines and multi-task.
    • Proficient use of Microsoft Office package (esp. MS. Excel).
    • Good communication skills, both written and spoken.
